250 Years of Delivering Forever Stamp 2025
To commemorate a historic milestone in the history of the United States Postal Service, the 250 Years of Delivering stamp pane presents a collection of 20 connected stamps that together form a continuous illustrated narrative. The design highlights the enduring presence of USPS in American life and celebrates its essential mission of bringing communities together through mail service since its founding in 1775.
The pane features a detailed aerial perspective of a lively American town, carefully illustrated to capture the everyday rhythm of a community. Each stamp functions as one scene in a larger sequential artwork, following the journey of a postal carrier as she completes her regular delivery route. Arranged in four horizontal rows of five stamps each, the visual story unfolds from the upper-left corner to the lower-right, moving through the changing atmosphere of all four seasons.
Every stamp includes the inscription ??USPS/FOREVER/USA?? in white uppercase sans serif lettering along the lower edge. The pane??s surrounding border displays the title ??250 YEARS OF DELIVERING?? in blue lettering centered at the top, framed on both sides by two simple horizontal lines that complete the design.
The first row depicts scenes including a post office loading area, visitors entering a postal facility, an equestrian monument, people walking dogs, and the entrance of a neighborhood coffee shop.
The second row continues the story with a USPS vehicle driver greeting others, a park bench scene, groups of people and animals gathered in pairs, a carrier using a blue curbside collection box, and a rooftop celebration filled with balloons.
The third row follows the carrier through additional stops, including an apartment mail station, a restaurant where customers acknowledge her arrival, a green USPS relay box, a profile view of a Next Generation Delivery Vehicle, and a bookstore entrance.
The final row brings the narrative to its conclusion with the carrier checking her watch, delivering mail to a resident at an older home, a winter landscape featuring a tree, pedestrians filling a city street, and the carrier sharing a warm moment with a child at home.
The artwork was created by illustrator Chris Ware, who also collaborated with art director Antonio Alcal?? on the overall design of the stamp pane.
The 250 Years of Delivering stamps are issued as Forever? stamps, meaning they will always maintain the same value as the current First-Class Mail? one-ounce postage rate, regardless of future price changes.
