2025 Lunar New Year - Year of the Snake
To celebrate the Year of the Snake, beginning January 29, 2025, the U.S. Postal Service releases the sixth stamp in its current Lunar New Year Forever series.
Designed by Antonio Alcal with artwork by Camille Chew, the stamp features a vibrant, hand-crafted 3D paper snake mask, inspired by traditional Lunar New Year parade masks. The colorful piece blends folk art with modern creativity, symbolizing prosperity and celebration.
In the Chinese zodiac, people born in the Year of the Snake are known for their wisdom, calm nature, and deep thinking. 2025 marks the Year of the Wood Snake, associated with growth and renewal.
This Forever? stamp is issued in panes of 20 and is always valid for the current First-Class Mail one-ounce rate.
